Part-Time Experienced Automotive Service Advisor – Sussex County
Nielsen Automotive Group is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Advisor to provide part-time coverage at three Sussex County dealerships:

• Franklin Sussex Auto Mall
• Franklin Sussex Hyundai
• Nielsen Ford of Sussex

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Service Advisor seeking a flexible part-time schedule with the potential for additional hours and future growth within Nielsen Automotive Group.

Job Type: Part-Time
Work Location: On-site at multiple Sussex County dealerships within 1.5 miles of each other

SCHEDULE

Weekday shifts will be scheduled based on the employee’s availability and the coverage needs of each dealership. Weekly hours and dealership assignments may vary. The selected candidate must be able to report to all three listed locations as scheduled.
Regular Saturday availability is required!

COMPENSATION

Pay Range: $20–$30 per hour, paid weekly
Actual compensation within the posted range will be based on relevant service‑advisor experience, dealership-system knowledge, qualifications, and other legitimate business considerations.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Part‑Time Automotive Service Advisor assists customers throughout the vehicle‑service process, from appointment scheduling and repair‑order preparation through customer authorization, progress updates, payment, vehicle delivery, and follow-up.

Because this position provides coverage at multiple dealerships, the successful candidate must be experienced, adaptable, dependable, and able to transition smoothly between different service departments, managers, vehicle brands, and dealership systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet service customers promptly and professionally.
• Obtain accurate customer and vehicle information.
• Listen to customer concerns and document them clearly in the customer’s own words.
• Prepare repair orders and obtain required signatures and authorizations.
• Review vehicle condition, maintenance history, recalls, and manufacturer recommendations.
• Provide accurate estimates for labor, parts, applicable fees, and anticipated completion times.
• Explain recommended maintenance and repairs clearly without making unauthorized promises or guarantees.
• Obtain and document customer authorization before additional work is performed.
• Monitor the progress of assigned repair orders and keep customers informed throughout the service process.
• Coordinate with technicians, parts employees, warranty personnel, cashiers, and service management.
• Explain completed work, warranty coverage, maintenance recommendations, and final charges accurately.
• Close repair orders promptly and assist with vehicle delivery.
• Follow up on customer satisfaction and escalated unresolved concerns appropriately.
• Maintain accurate customer, vehicle, authorization, and repair-order records.
• Follow the procedures, systems, and reporting requirements established at each assigned dealership.
• Protect customer vehicles, keys, personal property, payment information, and confidential records.
• Maintain professional, ethical, and customer‑focused communication at all times.
• Attend required dealership, manufacturer, system, or compliance training.
• Perform other related duties based on coverage needs and business requirements.
