Job summary

The Minnesota Association of Independent Schools (MAIS) is seeking an Executive Director to lead the organization. This part-time role (15-20 hours per week) reports to the MAIS President and may require occasional out-of-state travel. Candidates should have independent school experience and strong nonprofit operations knowledge.

Reliable technology and communication skills are essential. Salary range is $27-32/hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum 3 years in independent schools.
• Minimum 5 years in non-profit operations.

Responsibilities

• Support Member School Heads and coordinate meetings.
• Support MAIS Affinity Groups and report priorities.
• Attend Teachers Services Committee meetings and initiatives.
• Lead tri-annual MAIS Conference planning, themes, speakers, and logistics.
• Manage MAIS operations, including inbox, CRM, budgets, and website/Google Suite.
