Job summary

The Minnesota Association of Independent Schools (MAIS) is seeking its next Executive Director. The ideal candidate will have worked in independent schools as a teacher or administrator and understand the independent school landscape.

This is a part-time role (15-20 hours/week) reporting to the MAIS President. Occasional out-of-state travel is expected. Reliable technology is required, including a computer, monitor, and internet access. Compensation ranges from $27-32/hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience working in independent schools.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience with non-profit operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and attend HOS quarterly meetings.
• Serve as filter and conduit for information from outside organizations (MN Dept of Ed, MN Dept of Health, MISF, ISACS, ISAnet).
• Coordinate additional meetings, as necessary.
• Attend TSC meetings.
• Collaborate with and support committee members with initiatives, including a spring Affinity Day in non-conference years.
• Lead Tri-Annual MAIS Conference Planning and oversee timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships.
