Job summary

Rent Responsibly, Inc. is seeking an Executive Director/Operations Manager (part-time, Alabama-based, work-from-home) to guide the Alabama Short-Term Rental Alliance. You will drive revenue growth, member engagement, and advocacy while coordinating with our association support team.

The role starts part-time with potential expansion based on growth. Candidates should have 2+ years of nonprofit leadership experience, strong communications, and a passion for growing a mission-driven membership.

Qualifications

• You are based in Alabama with nonprofit leadership experience.
• Minimum of 2 years as an executive director or related nonprofit/volunteer organization role.
• Polished, kind, clear communication across platforms, especially social media.
• Passion for growing a mission-driven membership organization with revenue growth experience.
• Team player with a can-do spirit and strong time-management skills.
• Self-managed with accountability and reliability in task completion.
• Familiar with Slack, Google Workspace, HubSpot, and Hivebrite or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead revenue growth, member engagement, operations, and advocacy for ALSTRA.
• Manage events planning, content creation, and member communications.
• Oversee inboxes and coordinate with Rent Responsibly’s association support team.
• Support local news monitoring, legislation tracking, and policy advocacy.
• Assist with board and volunteer recruitment and onboarding as needed.
