Job summary

TEMPO Employment Services in the Greater Fort Kent area seeks an Executive Director to lead daily operations and strengthen membership engagement while promoting local businesses, tourism, and economic development. Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Experience in business administration, nonprofit management, marketing, or community development
• Comfortable using social media, email marketing, Microsoft Office
• Experience coordinating events or supporting community initiatives
• Basic understanding of budgeting and financial tracking
• Ability to interact professionally with business owners, community leaders, volunteers, and the public

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations including office administration and member communications
• Build relationships with local businesses and regional partners
• Recruit and engage members; develop retention initiatives
• Plan and promote events, networking, ribbon cuttings, and programs
• Manage social media, newsletters, website updates, and marketing efforts
• Support tourism and economic development efforts
• Collaborate with Board on priorities, meetings, reports, and goals
• Assist with budgeting and sponsorship/funding opportunities
• Represent the organization at meetings and community events
• Maintain membership databases and promotional materials
