Job summary

Indian River State College is seeking a part-time Testing Assistant to support assessment centers across campuses in Florida, administering exams, proctoring virtually, and processing distance learning tests.

You will help students navigate the testing process with accuracy, confidentiality, and a calm, professional environment, working with faculty and staff to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• At least one year of customer service and/or education experience.
• Prior testing or proctoring experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Student-first mindset and ability to work with diverse learners.
• Professional judgment, reliability, and comfort with technology.

Responsibilities

• Administer and virtually proctor exams with accuracy and care.
• Track and process distance learning exams.
• Assist with data entry and student notifications.
• Help students navigate the testing process confidently.
• Maintain confidentiality and fairness in testing situations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a calm testing environment.
