Statesville Event Center is seeking an Event Services Technician (Part-Time) to support events and operations at the Civic Center. The role involves setting up spaces, front-desk customer service, basic A/V support, and light custodial duties in a flexible schedule.

Ideal candidates will have strong customer service skills, the ability to perform hands-on work, and adapt to variable hours including days, nights, and weekends. Closing date is November 17, 2026, or until filled.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic safety rules and facility equipment.
• Knowledge of basic methods, materials, and equipment used in facility maintenance work.
• Ability to set up and troubleshoot A/V equipment.
• Ability to use a tape measure to measure/determine room dimensions.

Responsabilités

• Set up and break down event spaces (tables, chairs, stages, ramps, dance floors).
• Assist with room diagram/layout planning.
• Keep facility clean and safe; mop, vacuum, trash removal, debris pickup.
• Front desk duties: greet visitors, answer phones, handle inquiries, reservations.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchen, event rooms, and surrounding areas.
• Prepare snacks, coffee, and drinks for clients.
• Provide information on rules and facility use.
• Deliver excellent customer service to patrons, vendors, public, and co-workers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
