Job summary

Allied Universal® Event Services in Syracuse, NY is hiring part-time Event Security to support concerts and events. Starting pay is $18/hour with flexible evening and weekend shifts and weekly pay. Responsibilities include bag checks, access control, and customer service, with attention to policies and venue requirements. Prior NYS Guard Card may be requested.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• Background investigation and pre-employment drug/alcohol test; additional screening may be required if driving a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of event day preparation and execution.
• Control entry into each venue: verify tickets, wristbands and badges, direct traffic.
• Screen guests at entry via bag Search, hand wand or metal detector, and ID verification.
• Protect guests, staff and assets by monitoring for security breaches at checkpoints.
• Respond quickly to crowd control issues and escort unruly guests when needed.
• Follow policies, procedures and regulations of different venues and events.
• Provide directions and helpful information to guests arriving at the facility entrance.
