Job summary

The City of Myrtle Beach is seeking a Part-Time Facility Services Event Staff member to support the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. You will perform cleaning, set-up and break-down tasks for events, ensuring a safe and tidy environment for attendees and staff.

Current duties include sweeping, mopping, stocking restrooms, moving equipment, and assisting with crowd control as needed. No prior experience required; a high school diploma or equivalent is sufficient, with training provided on-site.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn on-site safety procedures and job duties.

Responsibilities

• Performs janitorial services: cleans floors, windows, restrooms, trash; keeps facilities stocked.
• Sets up and tears down for events and meetings.
• Transports materials, tools and supplies as needed; maintains equipment.
• Follows safety procedures and uses protective gear; helps with crowd control and signage as required.
• Cleans and maintains exhibit spaces, ballrooms, and related areas.
• Communicates with supervisor and staff to coordinate tasks and resolve issues.
