Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Concessions Worker at Jacksonville State University. Part-time role with varying shifts, supporting high-volume event-based concessions by preparing, stocking, and serving food & beverages in concession locations.

The position emphasizes speed, accuracy, cleanliness, and teamwork during live events. Requires a HS diploma or equivalent, prior food service or customer service experience, and alcohol-service certification where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Prior concessions, food service, or customer service experience preferred.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol based on local and state regulations.
• Must maintain a valid TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures), TEAM (Techniques for Effective Alcohol Management), or equivalent alcohol-service certification, and comply with all state-specific alcohol training requirements.
• A Food Handler certification may be required based on state or local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, assemble, and serve concession food and beverage items according to established recipes, portion standards, and concessions procedures.
• Assist with opening and closing concession locations, including setup, breakdown, and cleanup.
• Operate basic food service equipment such as warmers, grills, fryers, or beverage dispensers as assigned.
• Ability to frequently lift and move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 40 pounds.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity.
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
