Job summary

Gillman Home Center is seeking a cashier/customer service associate for a part-time role in the evenings and weekends (approximately 15-20 hours per week). You will help customers, handle check-out transactions, and support various departments as needed.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED and 1-2 years of customer service or retail experience. A friendly, reliable approach and teamwork are essential in our store environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of customer service experience preferred.
• 1-2 years of retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Process customer orders, invoices, and returns according to store policies.
• Answer questions and resolve customer concerns, suggesting solutions and add-ons.
• Operate cash register for fast and accurate check-out.
• Stock and organize front area, and assist with inventory tasks.
• Assist with keys, propane, rental transactions, and other customer service duties.
• Open and close store, and ensure a safe, clean work environment.
• Communicate customer needs via intercom and two-way radios.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
