Job summary

Gillman Home Center is seeking a part-time cashier/customer service associate to warmly greet customers, answer questions, and guide them to the right department.

You will process transactions, handle returns, and provide add-on sales when appropriate. The role includes stocking, cleaning, and basic inventory tasks, with availability on days, evenings and weekends to meet customer demand.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of customer service experience preferred.
• 1-2 years of retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a positive, approachable manner and resolve concerns.
• Process transactions at checkout and handle orders, invoices and returns per store policy.
• Perform store tasks including stocking, cleaning, and inventory maintenance.
• Provide loading paperwork and assist with rental transactions and other customer service tasks.
• Operate two-way radios to communicate with yard team and provide order updates.
• Open and close the store as assigned and ensure a safe working environment.
