Job summary

Gillman Home Center in Indiana is seeking a part-time cashier/customer service associate to provide excellent service to our customers. The position offers 10–20 hours per week with availability on days, evenings and weekends.

You will greet customers, assist with projects, handle checkout, and perform basic duties across departments. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 1–2 years of customer service and retail experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of customer service experience preferred.
• 1-2 years of retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Provide fast and effective check-out transactions and process orders.
• Answer questions and resolve customer concerns, offering solutions.
• Use intercom and two-way radios to communicate customer needs.
• Stock, price updates, and basic inventory maintenance.
• Open and close the store as assigned.
• Ensure a safe working environment and report safety concerns.
