Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer to provide excellent customer service at a technology, media, and telecommunications site in Sterling, VA. You will conduct unarmed patrols, monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain detailed incident logs to support safety and security.

The role requires a minimum of 1 year in security, with preferences for alarm panels, access control, and CPR/First Aid certifications.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of security experience.
Alarm panel experience preferred.
Access control and badge experience preferred.
Guard card or license preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
Background check required.
Drug screen required by law where applicable.
Licensing requirements may be required.
Driver’s license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
Monitor access points and verify credentials; maintain logs and incident documentation.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and coordinate with appropriate responders.
Support a professional environment by communicating clearly with site personnel and following reporting protocols.
