Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH, is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (evenings, 3p-11:30p) for 16 hours per week with every other weekend and holiday rotation.

You will assist patients through their care episode with a Family Centered approach, document per policy, and work with LPNs, PCAs, and other staff, while maintaining safety and quality as priorities. A BSN or equivalent with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years is required.

Qualifications

• BSN or Associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Willing to obtain and maintain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other necessary certification as determined by your manager based on business unit.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach.
• Assesses individualized patient needs and communicates care needs to LPNs, PCAs, Unit Coordinators, and Allied Health staff.
• Plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices.
• Utilizes Therapeutic Communication while monitoring patients and families.
• Engages in the workplace community, participates in data collection or auditing, and reports updates to staff.
• Documents according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.

Education

BSN or Associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire
