Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Radiographic Technologist to prepare patients for imaging, position them correctly, and operate radiography equipment according to established protocols.

Responsibilities include ensuring patient safety, adhering to ALARA standards, and coordinating with radiologists. The role requires MA RTR licensure or equivalent, ARRT certification within 12 months, and BLS. Signing bonus may be available and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• License/Certification required: RTR licensure in Massachusetts; ARRT in radiology within 12 months of hire.
• Certifications ensure safe performance of radiologic procedures and patient protection.
• Maintain CEUs as required by regulatory bodies.
• BLS certification and ongoing clinical competency recommended.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and ensure comfort and modesty.
• Position patients and operate imaging equipment per protocol.
• Adhere to safety standards and ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
• Ensure image quality and proper patient data in RIS/PACS workflows.
• Assist radiologists with procedures and contrast administration as needed.
