Job summary

Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus is seeking a Medical Assistant – Sleep Lab to support both inpatient sleep study services and outpatient Sleep Disorders Center operations. You will prepare, deliver, and set up portable sleep monitoring equipment and assist with daily clinic tasks, patient intake, and education.

This part-time role runs from 7:00pm to 11:00pm with no weekends or holidays, facilitating collaboration between inpatient and outpatient sleep services to ensure a smooth patient

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved Medical Assisting Program (as designated by the Enterprise MA Steering Committee).
• Completion of a clinical externship (Extensive clinical experience may be considered in lieu of formal clinical externship).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (within new hire period).
• Current demonstrated clinical proficiency.
• Military training as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist with performing screenings and treatments by gathering and updating information related to health maintenance, identifying medication changes, updating allergy information, collecting specimens, performing tests and documenting patient care.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Maintain equipment, medical supplies and examination areas.
• Perform administrative/clerical duties, such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration.
