Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic in North Canton, OH is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a team that delivers welcoming patient care and supports medication management, patient monitoring, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams.

This full-time role offers broad clinical exposure through hands-on patient care, compliance, and collaboration with clinical and administrative staff. Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with no nights, weekends, or holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved medical assisting program or military training in hospital corps/medics.
• Completion of a clinical externship or extensive clinical experience.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross, to be obtained if not already held.
• Preferred: Medical Assisting certification and Cleveland Clinic externship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with screenings and treatments by updating health information and documenting care.
• Monitor patient condition and communicate changes to the team.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and examination areas.
• Perform administrative duties such as scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

Education

Medical assisting program

Military medical training (HM / 68W / 4N0X1)

Clinical externship / extensive clinical experience

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
