Job summary

Genacross Lutheran Services, a faith-based nonprofit, is seeking a part-time Laundry Worker for the Holland, OH location on the evening shift. You will collect, wash, dry and fold laundry for residents and facilities, label clothing, and help maintain inventories in compliance with state and federal standards.

The role requires at least 18 years old, familiarity with Microsoft Office, and strong communication with residents, families and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior experience in long-term care or high-volume food production preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new software.
• Requires excellent oral and written communication skills with staff, residents, families and physicians.
• Understands directions and responds promptly to inquiries.
• Passion for Genacross Lutheran Services' mission and faith-based values.

Responsibilities

• Collect and sort laundry and linen for facility and residents per standards and policies.
• Wash, dry and fold laundry for facility and residents.
• Label resident clothing for accurate redistribution.
• Complete forms/reports to ensure smooth environmental services operations.
• Assist in inventory and storage of incoming supplies and maintain accuracy.
• Address resident and family concerns professionally and report to the Director of Environmental Services.
• Report allegations of abuse/neglect to leadership.
• Report hazardous incidents to the appropriate Manager/Supervisor.
• Implement and follow disaster plans during emergencies.
