Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is seeking a Switchboard Operator to join our team at St. Elizabeth Hospital in O'Fallon, IL. The role handles a multi-line switchboard, routing calls, and responding to emergencies with calm efficiency.

Part-time, 16 hours per week, evening shift from 2:30 to 11:00 pm with rotating weekends. A high school diploma is preferred, and 1–2 years of switchboard or clerical experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-2 years of switchboard experience preferred.
• 1-2 years of switchboard or clerical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates a switchboard system to relay incoming, outgoing, and inter-office calls.
• Accurately screens, identifies and places incoming and outgoing calls.
• Requires ability to function calmly under stress in order to respond to emergency calls, codes, and alarms.
