Volunteers of America, Utah—Women's Resource Center is seeking a part-time kitchen helper to assist with food prep, serving meals, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment. The role supports volunteers and staff in delivering nutritious meals in a timely manner.

Responsibilities include food storage, equipment safety, and adherence to health standards. A high school diploma or GED is preferred; a Food Handlers permit is required or obtained on hire.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals and snacks according to approved menus and delivered meals.
• Ensure meals are served at scheduled times each day.
• Maintain and organize kitchen, food storage and equipment per Health Department standards.
• Report kitchen maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Operate and maintain dishwashers and wash dishes and flatware.
• Prepare eating areas and facilitate cleanup during meal times.
• Store food properly and rotate items to maintain safety.
• Provide clear directions to volunteers regarding food services and supervise kitchen operations.
