Job summary

Volunteers of America, Utah (VOA Utah) seeks a dedicated kitchen support role to assist with food preparation, meal service, and ensuring sanitary conditions across the facility.

You will work with the Food Service Coordinator and Community Engagement Specialists to provide meals on schedule while maintaining safety and regulatory standards. This full-time position offers benefits and opportunities to contribute to community services.

Qualifications

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in serving meals and snacks per approved menus and deliveries.
• Ensure meals are served at scheduled times daily.
• Maintain and organize kitchen, storage, and equipment per Health Dept. standards.
• Report kitchen maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Operate and maintain dishwashers and wash dishes/flatware.
• Prepare eating areas for meals and clean up after meals.
• Store food properly and rotate stock.
• Maintain kitchen and storage per safe handling regulations.
• Provide direction to volunteers on food service duties.
• Attend work as scheduled and on time.
