Job summary

Cura Health in Long Prairie is seeking a part-time Dietary Assistant with dishwashing responsibilities to support residents’ meals from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm. The role emphasizes safe food handling, timely service, and cooperative work in the dietary department.

Responsibilities include assisting the Cook, maintaining hygiene, and communicating professionally with residents and staff while following facility policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred. If high school applicant, must be 15 years of age. Work permit required for anyone under 18 years of age.
• Some knowledge of dishwashing procedures, sanitation and hygiene, and portion control; will train.

Responsibilities

• Handles, prepares and serves food in safe and sanitary manner.
• Ensures meals are prepared and served on time.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of dishes and work areas.
• Assists Cook when needed during working hours.
• Communicates professionally with residents, visitors, supervisors, and co-workers.
