Job summary

State of New Hampshire is seeking a part-time Building Cleaning Worker I in Plymouth, NH, with a schedule from 4:00PM to 8:00PM and a second shift differential of $1.20 per hour. The position requires completing custodial duties across state facilities, under the Division of Plant & Property of the Department of Administrative Services.

Education requirement is 8th grade with no license needed; experience in large facilities and teamwork are preferred. EOE.

Qualifications

License/Certification: None.
Trainee Option: Not applicable.
Preferred: Experience cleaning large facilities and ability to work in a team, follow verbal directions.

Responsibilities

Performs light to medium physical custodial activities such as dusting, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors, washing walls and glass, and disinfecting.
Performs routine building maintenance tasks like changing lightbulbs and adjusting fixtures.
Removes snow, debris, or garbage from grounds; salts and sands walkways as needed.
Moves beds, furniture, equipment, or supplies manually or with hand trucks.
Checks cleaning tools and reports issues; monitors mechanical or environmental systems and notifies supervisor.
Uses solvents and cleaners; disposes of waste following safety requirements.
Stocks supplies and alerts supervisor when inventory is low.
