Job summary

The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a part‑time Custodian at the Bremerton Family YMCA in Bremerton, WA. The role involves cleaning, stocking supplies, and supporting events while maintaining safety and security during shifts.

Hours are up to 25 per week (evenings). The wage range is $17.30–$19.49 per hour, with full benefits for all YMCA employees and additional voluntary options for part‑time staff. Applicants must pass background checks and complete required trainings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• 6 months of custodial/janitorial or related experience preferred.
• Understanding cleaning compounds and chemicals and their safe use.
• Complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day; additional training required.

Responsibilities

• Interior cleaning such as vacuuming, mopping, bathrooms, locker rooms, windows and trash removal.
• Replace soap, towels and other supplies.
• Assist other departments and branches for events.
• Report repairs and hazardous conditions to supervisor promptly.
• Ensure buildings are secure during and after hours.
