Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, AED, Oxygen, and YMCA or American Red Cross Lifeguarding certifications (preferred).
• Positive attitude with previous experience working with diverse populations.
• Demonstrated maturity, sound judgment, and strong decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, welcoming gym environment by actively monitoring activity and guiding proper equipment use.
• Build positive, supportive relationships with members and champion the Y’s commitment to serving Health Seekers.
• Plan, lead, and participate in engaging programs and provide orientations for all fitness levels.
• Foster and promote an inclusive, equitable environment for all.
• Support branch events and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
