Job summary

Titan Security is seeking a Security Officer in Evanston, IL to provide outstanding customer service at the front desk, manage access controls, and patrol properties. You will maintain logs, monitor cameras, and respond to incidents to uphold safety and security standards.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, English fluency, and the ability to pass background checks and a drug screen. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in door staff, receptionist, customer service, clerical, hotel or restaurant.
• Comfortable around dogs, cats and other pets.
• Read, write and speak English.
• Able to obtain and maintain a valid Illinois PERC card.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Able to meet physical requirements including lifting 50+ lbs and patrolling.
• Bi-lingual considered a plus.

Responsibilities of Security Officers include, but are not limited to:

• Provide excellent Customer Service to all parties encountered while on duty, including assisting with directions and general business information
• Maintain clear, accurate administrative logs at front desk pertaining to people or property including packages.
• Control access for tenants, visitors or vendors as required
• Monitor security guard cameras and conduct patrols to guard against theft and maintain a safe environment
• Respond to incidents, including emergencies at the property, and record data on incidents for building and Titan Security management
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications of Security Officers:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have experience as a door staff professional or in a receptionist, customer service, clerical, hotel or restaurant position.
• Must be comfortable around dogs, cats, and other pets/animals
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Able to acquire and maintain a valid Illinois Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC), including state accredited training requirements
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Able to meet physical essential functions of the job, which can include lifting 50+ lbs, completing foot patrols, walking up and down stairs, working in inclement weather

Preferred Qualifications of Security Officers:

• Bi-lingual considered a plus.

Pay and Benefits of Security Officers:

• Positions starting at $19.50 /Sunday 0700-1500\ Monday-Friday 10a-2p
