Lewis Central Community School District is seeking a Part-Time Elementary English Language Learner (ESL) Teacher to serve Kreft Primary and Titan Hill Intermediate for the 2026-27 School Year.

Applicants must hold or be able to obtain an Iowa teaching license with the appropriate endorsement through the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners by October 2026. Endorsements include K-12 English as a Second Language - 104. This position is part-time and focuses on student growth and district standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in education.
• License issued by Iowa BOEE with acceptable endorsement(s) for subject matter listed above.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers curriculum aligned with district goals.
• Creates a welcoming and engaging learning environment for all students.
• Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction and student learning.
• Maintains accurate records of student progress, attendance and grading.
• Communicates with parents and collaborates with staff to support student success.
