Job summary

Responsibilities include evaluating learner progress, employing effective instructional strategies for adult ELL students, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with colleagues to continuously improve curriculum and instruction.

Qualifications

• Candidates must possess strong oral and written communication skills and demonstrate the ability to work effectively with a diverse population of students, faculty, staff, and members of the public in a professional, inclusive, and student-focused environment.
• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Experience teaching English, especially to non-native speakers.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate student progress based on performance objectives and competencies.
• Employ instructional strategies and materials for adult English language learners.
• Maintain attendance, progress, and performance records.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve curriculum and instruction.
• Maintain current knowledge and enhance instructional effectiveness through professional development.
• Participate in program and district meetings to address attendance, assessment, placement, and program goals.
• Promote NRCC Adult Learning Center services within the community.
