Responsibilities

• Evaluate student progress based on achievement of performance objectives and competencies, utilizing CASAS assessment results and other appropriate measures.
• Employ a variety of instructional strategies, techniques, and materials appropriate for adult English language learners.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of student attendance, progress, and performance.
• Collaborate with colleagues in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of curriculum and instruction.
• Maintain current knowledge in the subject area and enhance instructional effectiveness through ongoing professional development.
• Participate in program and district meetings, including regular collaboration with the Regional Specialist and Adult Learning Specialist to address attendance, student assessment, placement, progress monitoring, and regional program goals.
• Promote awareness of NRCC Adult Learning Center services and educational opportunities within the community.

Special Assignments

May be required to perform other duties as assigned and to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
