Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a part-time Emergency Room Registered Nurse in Old Bridge, NJ to deliver direct patient care and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, enhancing outcomes through effective communication with patients and families.

You will collect data, perform age- and disease-specific assessments, and administer medications using bar-scanning technology while working with the care team to implement and monitor care plans.

Qualifications

• Associate in Nursing or diploma required.
• BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three years of hire.
• 6+ months of relevant nursing experience.
• Current and valid RN license in New Jersey; BLS/CPR within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age- and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Develop and coordinate a patient/family-focused plan of care.
• Communicate and implement the plan of care with the healthcare team.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients/families regarding care and treatment plans.
• Administer medications utilizing bar-scanning technologies.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of patient outcomes.
• Identify ethical issues in the practice setting and address them.
