Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in Brick, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team, with a focus on safety and quality outcomes during night shifts.

Qualifications

• Education: BSN in progress and/or willingness to acquire within three years of hire.
• Experience: Six months of nursing experience or participation in Nurse Residency Program.
• Licenses: NJ nursing license and BLS/CPR certification required; telemetry certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age- and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient condition.
• Develop and coordinate a patient/family-focused plan of care.
• Administer medications using bar-scanning technology and monitor effects.
• Communicate and implement the plan of care with the healthcare team.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and team members.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of patient outcomes and document care events.
