Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an Environmental Services worker to clean offices and departments, manage trash, dusting, mopping, and restroom cleaning, and assist with special projects. This is a hospital-based position with a standard 40-hour workweek.

Preferred candidates have a high school diploma or GED and previous environmental services experience, with the ability to work independently and follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous environmental services experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned rooms and areas to ensure a clean, safe environment.
• Clean and burnish floors to maintain appearance.
• Assist with project work as assigned.
• Complete the schedule of duties efficiently.
• Provide a positive service attitude and respond to requests promptly.
• Interact cooperatively with staff.
• Safely use equipment and chemicals according to procedures.
• Maintain a professional image and conduct.
• Report to scheduled start times and punch in/out.
