Job summary

Clifton Fine Hospital in the Adirondack region is seeking a part-time Environmental Service Housekeeper to perform cleaning of patient rooms, restrooms, offices and hospital common areas. The role requires afternoon/evening and weekend shifts, with pay ranging from $16.50 to $17.45 based on experience.

You will cross-train across departments, handle waste removal, linen management, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and patient satisfaction within a rural emergency hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds required.
• Ability to operate assorted cleaning equipment.
• Ability to assess conditions of a common area via senses and communication.

Responsibilities

• Cross train in all areas of the organization and for all shifts.
• Remove and dispose of trash and waste, including bio-hazardous materials.
• Clean patient rooms, restrooms, offices and hospital common areas to standards.
• Maintain floors per scheduled maintenance.
• Respond to visitor, patient and staff requests for assistance.
• Keep designated scheduled time frame.
• Focus on patient and customer satisfaction.
• Work as part of a team to meet departmental goals.
• Follow safety measures when doing laundry.
• Transport dirty linen to storage area.
