Job summary

Clifton Fine Hospital in the Adirondack region is seeking a part-time Environmental Service Housekeeper to perform cleaning of patient rooms, restrooms, offices and hospital common areas. The role requires afternoon/evening and weekend shifts, with pay ranging from $16.50 to $17.45 based on experience.

You will cross-train across departments, handle waste removal, linen management, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and patient satisfaction within a rural emergency hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds required.
• Ability to operate assorted cleaning equipment.
• Ability to assess conditions of a common area via senses and communication.

Environmental Service Housekeeper

Part-Time

We have an immediate need for a part-time Environmental Service Housekeeper to join our team at Clifton Fine Hospital. We are a Rural Emergency Hospital located in the Adirondack Mountains that provides critical care to our community. We are looking for afternoon/evening and weekend coverage. Pay range is $16.50 to $17.45 based on experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• All EVS staff must cross train in all areas of the organization and for all shifts.
• Removal and disposal of trash and waste product, inclusive of bio-hazardous materials.
• Clean patient rooms, restrooms, offices and hospital common areas within established departmental standards.
• Maintain floors, according to scheduled maintenance standards.
• Respond to visitor, patient and staff requests for assistance.
• Keep designated scheduled time frame.
• High focus on customer and patient satisfaction.
• Work as part of a team towards accomplishing departmental goals.
• Follows proper safety measure protocol when doing laundry.
• Transports dirty linen to proper storage area.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, squatting and moving.
• Lifting of furniture and equipment up to and including 50 pounds. Ability to operate assorted cleaning equipment.
• The ability to assess the conditions of a common area by sense of vision, feel, listening/hearing and verbal communication

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, previous janitor and/or industrial cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• Experience in hospital linen management is desirable
