Job summary

City Parks Foundation seeks a Part-Time Environmental Educator to implement Seeds to Trees curriculum in school-day and afterschool programs from October to June. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Environmental Education/Science or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum two years of teaching outdoors/experiential learning preferred.
  • Experience with elementary school students advantageous.
  • Ability to work with diverse students, including low-income communities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency with Google Drive and Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Seeds to Trees curriculum to elementary and middle school students during school-day and afterschool sessions.
  • Contribute to workshops and professional development with Seeds to Trees partners.
  • Collaborate with Associate Director of Environmental Education and staff to shape curricula with feedback.
  • Support program evaluation and student assessment efforts.
  • Assist in maintaining education department resources and materials.
