Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Entry Point Security in CHICAGO, IL. This role offers reliable fixed hours with opportunities to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings, up to 40 hours per week, and a base pay of $18.50 per hour.

The position emphasizes a six-month anchor shift commitment, optional Pick-Up shifts across sites, and a path toward greater flexibility and income stability through our scheduling platform.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation may be required by law.
• A drug screen will be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers at a retail distribution location, following access-control procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain entry records, and direct authorized individuals.
• Screen inbound and outbound traffic and document exceptions per location procedures.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly, reporting observations through required channels.
• Conduct regular patrols to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
