Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Champaign, IL. This position offers flexible, reliable hours with a fixed anchor shift and the opportunity to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings.

Pay rate is $18.10 per hour, with a schedule on Fridays from 12:00 AM to 08:00 AM and a path to scale to up to 40 hours per week when desired. CPR certification and background checks may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include customer service experience and ability to use a computer or tablet.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers at a food and beverage manufacturing location by carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures and security‑related policies.
• Monitor and control access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Screen incoming and outgoing traffic as directed, observe delivery and shipping activity, and report unusual conditions or unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following site‑specific emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production‑adjacent areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
