Allied Universal Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Front Office in Jacksonville, FL provides reliable, flexible hours with fixed anchor shift and optional extra shifts through the scheduling platform.

You will handle front desk security, access control, visitor screening, and emergency response while earning $21.70 per hour; this role offers opportunities to progress toward full-time schedules and growth within a national security leader.

Qualifications

• Certified Protection Officer certification is required.
• Armed guard card or license is required.
• 4+ years of military or law enforcement experience or a criminal justice degree.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, visitors, faculty, and staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor the front desk area, greet and screen visitors, verify credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Answer incoming calls, provide directions and general information, and assist with routing inquiries to appropriate departments or personnel.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and disruptive activity by observing entry points, maintaining awareness of activity in the reception area, and reporting suspicious conditions or behaviors.
