Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Site Security in Jacksonville, FL. This role offers reliable hours at a designated site with the option to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $19.25 per hour. The position requires armed security experience, an armed guard card, and a high school diploma, with a 6‑month anchor shift and opportunities to scale to up to 40 hours per week as needed.

Qualifications

• At least one year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws; drug screening may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct armed patrols of facilities, substations, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor and control access to restricted utility infrastructure areas; verify credentials and report incidents.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; coordinate with responders.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and activities per site procedures.
