Allied Universal in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Part Time Enhanced Security Officer with armed patrol duties. The role offers fixed anchor shifts with optional extra shifts via our scheduling platform and pays $18.00 per hour.

The position emphasizes customer service, regular armed patrols, access control monitoring, and incident response while upholding site procedures and laws. A high school diploma and armed guard card are preferred prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to members, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of financial institution facilities, parking areas, ATM locations, and surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and applicable laws.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious behavior.
• Maintain required armed-post qualifications, handle assigned equipment responsibly, and complete accurate activity, incident, and patrol documentation.
