Job Description and Position Requirements

Penn State Berks invites applications for part-time academic job of Adjunct Lecturer of Composition. Teaching assignments may require teaching day or evening classes, as needed. This is a part-time, adjunct faculty opening.

Job Duties
  • Teach 1-3 classes (3 credits each; up to a maximum of 9 credits per semester) on a semester-by-semester basis first year writing, advanced writing, business writing, and/or rhetoric depending on expertise.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Master's Degree and experience is required.
  • Must have completed MA in English or a related field required and experience teaching at the post-secondary level is preferred.
  • Commitment to high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment is desired.
  • Enthusiasm for working in a multidisciplinary environment is important.
