Job summary

Albany Technical College seeks a part-time Engineering Technology Adjunct Instructor to teach Electronics or Electrical & Computer Engineering courses. Responsibilities include delivering classroom and online instruction, updating syllabi and assessing student progress.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronics or related field with 3 years in the field and PLC knowledge. A master’s degree and teaching experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical & Computer Engineering Technology or closely related field.
• Three years experience in-field within the past seven years.
• Working knowledge of PLC systems and process/motor control theory.
• Flexible schedule including day and evening shifts.
• Pre-employment background investigation and reference checks.
• Preferred: Master’s degree and one year educational environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans and deliver classroom and online instruction for Electronics or ECE courses.
• Update syllabi; evaluate students’ progress and maintain certification requirements.
• Recruitment, retention and job placement efforts for the program as required.
