Job summary

Albany Technical College invites applications for an Engineering Technology Adjunct Instructor (PT) to teach Electronics or Electrical & Computer Engineering Technology courses, delivering in-person and online instruction and updating syllabi.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Electronics or related field and 3 years of in-field experience; a master’s degree is preferred. Flexibility for day and evening schedules is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical & Computer Engineering Technology or closely related field.
• Three (3) years of in-field experience within the past seven years.
• Working knowledge of PLC systems is critical.
• Ability to work flexible day/evening schedule.
• Pre-employment background checks and reference checks required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans and deliver classroom and online instruction for Electronics or ECE courses.
• Update syllabi and evaluate students’ progress.
• Maintain certification requirements as appropriate.
• Support recruitment, retention and job placement efforts for the program.
