Job summary

Ventura County Community College District is accepting applications for part-time Engineering instructors to staff a districtwide pool across Oxnard, Moorpark, and Ventura campuses. Candidates may be called for Summer 2026, Fall 2026, and Spring 2027 vacancies as they arise.

Instructors will deliver comprehensive classroom instruction under the dean's direction and may teach up to 67% of a full-time assignment. Applications remain on file for consideration for future vacancies.

Qualifications

• Master's in engineering or Bachelor's in engineering with Master's in math/physics/CS/chem/geology
• Equivalent qualifications may be considered
• California Community College Teaching Credential or equivalency process required

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom instruction by lecture, lab or performance in engineering.
• Advise students on programs of study and available resources.
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of enrollment, progress and outcomes; update syllabi and course outlines
