Job summary

Bauer Family Resources seeks an Engagement Specialist (Part-Time) to strengthen student and family engagement within our Youth Development programs in Lafayette, IN. This role focuses on building relationships, promoting attendance, connecting families with resources, and creating learning opportunities under the 21st CCLC grant.

You will work 28 hours per week, serving as a primary liaison among families, staff, and partners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate degree or related coursework preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience with children, youth, families, schools, or community programs preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to engage diverse families.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen student and family engagement within Youth Development programming.
• Build relationships with youth and families to promote participation.
• Coordinate family outreach, attendance, and engagement activities.
• Assist with documentation, data collection, and program improvement.
• Collaborate with school staff and community partners to support student success.
