Job summary

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is seeking an Endoscopy Nurse on a part-time basis in Hendersonville, TN. The role emphasizes patient-centered perioperative care, collaboration with a dynamic team, and adherence to safety protocols.

You will evaluate patients preoperatively, educate families, manage IV therapy and meds, participate in time-outs and site verification, and respond to emergencies with critical thinking and leadership. RN licensure and RN experience are required.

Qualifications

• RN with an associate degree is required.
• ACLS must be obtained within 1 year of start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Endoscopy nursing experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and perioperative process.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy, preoperative medications, and site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification per hospital policy.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including providers and surgeons.
• Apply nursing process, critical thinking, and leadership to safe patient care.
• Assess and document patient condition and care provided during the shift.
• Educate patients and families about medical condition, treatment and follow-up.
