Job summary

Evergreen Ambulance is hiring EMTs to join our team serving the greater Portland metro area. We specialize in non-emergency transport with Basic Life Support (BLS) across Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington counties.

This part-time position is ideal for new EMTs seeking start-up hours or a lighter workload while pursuing education. As an EMT, you will deliver patient-centered care, drive within city limits, and support safe transportation.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification.
• License by the Oregon Health Authority as an Emergency Medical Technician.
• Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic life support (BLS) patient care within scope according to protocols.
• Provides patient care in the out-of-hospital setting.
• Transports patients from residence to facility, facility to residence, or facility to facility.
• Documents and provides reports to receiving facility.
• Utilizes technology for communication and documenting, i.e. electronic patient care record.
• Establishes and maintains communications with internal and external customers.
• Maintains, cleans, and stocks vehicle.
• Operates vehicle in accordance with driving laws and company procedure.
• Maintains equipment and uses it per manufacturer and company procedure.
• Reports safety and/or potential safety hazards.
• May have base maintenance duties, including cleaning and disinfecting.
• Other duties as assigned.
