Job summary

Biddeford Center Of Technology is seeking an Emergency Medical Services Lecturer/Lab Assistant to support the EMT program. This role is part-time with 5-10 hours per week through mid-June, paid hourly with no benefits, and classes run Monday–Friday 12:20 p.m.–2:25 p.m.

Lab days are flexible within this schedule. The position involves instructing students from approved lesson plans, evaluating clinical skills, and maintaining current licensure and knowledge.

Qualifications

• State of Maine professional licensure in EMT/Advanced EMT, Paramedic, RN, RT, PA-C, NP or MD/DO with 1 year EMS/ICU experience.
• Maine Class C driver's license or equivalent.
• Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) with fingerprints on file.
• Minimum of an Associate's Degree.

Responsibilities

• Maintain collateral communications among Program Director, lead instructor, faculty, and students
• Instruct students from lesson plans and instructional guides designed and approved by the Program Director/Lead Instructor
• Evaluate students' clinical skills
• Supervise peer-review clinical sessions
• Track skills progression with learning management systems
• Evaluate student competency utilizing program guidelines
• Recommend changes to program guides and curriculum
• Maintain licenses, certifications, and/or current clinical practice knowledge base through lifelong learning and continuing education
• Attend training, meetings, and committees as needed

Education

Maine licensure as EMT/Advanced EMT/Paramedic/Nurse/Respiratory Therapist/PA-C/NP/MD/DO

Associate's Degree

Maine Class C driver's license
