Qualifications

• Must be certified by the Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services (KBEMS) as an EMS instructor.
• Must have completed an approved EMS instructor course.
• Must have a minimum of two years of experience as a practicing paramedic.
• Must hold a current and valid paramedic certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality EMS instruction to meet course curriculum and standards.
• Present lectures and hands-on training aligned with industry guidelines.
• Demonstrate procedures for patient assessment, airway, and trauma care.
• Facilitate classroom discussions and interactive learning activities.
• Assess student progress with exams, practicals, and assignments.
• Ensure compliance with state/national EMS education guidelines.
• Maintain a positive learning environment to support student success.
